With Donny D and his friend Durwood on stage there is never a dull or quiet moment. When the audience isn’t singing along with his music, they are sure to laugh at his jokes.
Don has incorporated two puppets into his act:
- Durwood, his main buddy, and…
- Bobby, who is better suited for the small folks
At present, Don showcases his talents on guitar, bass and vocals, and includes music from classic rock, country, blues standards, comedy and children’s genres – and a nice mix of comedic relief to keep things moving and keep the audience entertained.
With a complete package – music, comedy, his own lights and P.A. system – you are sure of a great night with little effort on your part!
Bio:
Don has been bringing his unique mix of music and comedy to stages across Ontario for over 40 years. He is best known for his single act but through the years he has worked with or opened for such acts as Carol Baker, Ronnie Hawkins, Randy Bachman, Harold MacIntyre, Terry Sumsion, Gordon Lightfoot and a host of others
Don Dunham has brought his talent to many different audiences throughout his career. He has performed at several telethons, car shows, fairs, festivals, and parades as well as ‘Theatre Aquarius’ (Hamilton), The Toronto Convention Centre, CNE, Heritage Festival (North Bay), plus many concerts, as well as Waterford’s Pumpkin Festival every year since it opened – playing to as many as 1,400 children and even a 27-hour dance!
Beyond live stage, Don has released a comedy recording titled “I’m a Nut” and is currently working on a new comedy release which will feature material from a variety of Canadian song writers as well as his own material.
