Etenem Oton, as ET the Mime,
is considered to be one of Canada’s best mimes. Whether his show is televised to millions or live to hundreds, he is recognized nationwide as a sensational performer. Etenom has appeared numerous times on TV commercials like “UPS” and in films and has performed all over the world. He has amazed audiences at Roy Thomson Hall, North York Performing Arts Centre and the Kingswood Music Theatre. He has performed with skating champion Elvis Stojko, “Pinball” Mike Clemens of the Toronto Argonauts and has opened for the Nylons. As a silver statue he has performed with the Toronto Raptors as Silver Rock on TSN. Etenem also coaches the Canadian National Figure Skating Team regarding their facial expressions.
Stage Show:

The 15-30 minute show entitled “Silent Comedy Like You’ve Never Heard”, consists of comedic skits set to music and audience members performing right on stage (imagine watching the president/vice of your company in a whole other light…trying to mime a character for the staff’s extreme amusement). A Mime Show with a twist ! I also provide mime shows that are used in corporate presentations, speeches and seminars. Often attendees’ minds wander during these affairs, so using mime in unison with a presenter or performing a vignette of to do vs. not to do, engages the minds, stimulates the memory and definitely entertains all at the same time.
Weddings:
Mime skits are tailor-made about the bride & groom, or husband & wife. Basically, I find out about both of their mannerisms and characteristics and I then act out how they both met, what a typical date was like and the proposal. I do all this switching between “being” both individuals…with some slight exaggeration of course. It is extremely entertaining and it gives guests an opportunity to see a bit of their history.
This is also great for showers, stags / stagettes, and anniversaries.
