Bios:
Jamie Shear – Musical Director / Lead Guitar
Jamie is hailed as one of the best musical directors in the business. He honed his craft as musical director at the Deerhurst Resort in Northern Ontario, for a young Shania Twain, and followed by “Legends Alive”. Jamie is meticulous in detail, assembling the best musicians, to ensure the proper instrumentation and presentations. His work ethic, along with his virtuoso guitar playing, has earned Jamie the respect of musicians and performers around the world.
Neil Shapiro – Percussion / Drums
Neil’s experiences as a drummer have spanned over 40 years. Starting with 60’s rock ‘garage bands’, Neil went on to playing varied musical styles with a number of dance orchestras in the 70’s, followed by a ten year stint in Toronto’s highly acclaimed “Remember When” 50’s-60’s rock revival band. After almost twelve years of work for “Legends Alive” and similar tribute shows, Neil adapted his drumming skills to play the congas, bongos and other various percussive instruments especially designed for Camp Rock Revisited.
John Sharkey – Vocals / Guitar
John Sharkey has been a well respected Scottish musician and songwriter for the last 15 years. In the late 90’s John moved from Scotland to Canada He has toured Canada with original bands in the mid 2000’s with various television and radio appearances. As well as recording songs John is one of the top vocalists performing on guitar, bass, and drums as well as arranging vocals for the now present love for Beach Boy Harmony for the show California Sun – He is an incredible front man who never leaves his connection with the audience as they become part of him.
Randy Vanee – Bass Guitar
Randy has been a busy and well respected bass player from Kitchener for more than 20 years, playing a variety of pop shows, variety and Legend Shows recreating the superstars throughout Canada and the US. Now part of the California Sun Beach Band.
Jayne Ryder – Vocals
Jayne a singer songwriter for the last 20 years is a great addition the California sound. Her harmony knowledge has brought her to the stage performing with many well known artists as a background singer arranger to recreate the vocal parts of the songs required by whom ever the performer she is accompanying. She plays a lot larger role being in California Sun not only as a female vocalist she plays a big role interacting with her audiences’ with her energy and personality.
