The Victorian Carollers
A Yuletide sound …..with a Yesteryear look!
One session with The Victorian Carollers consists of Christmas music performed by a strolling quartet of accomplished singers dressed in authentic Victorian costume.
Utilizing young, talented and trained singers, The Victorian Carollers perform the popular sacred carols, plus charming 4-part arrangements of some of the well-known secular songs of the season.
This, in combination with their very charming period costumes, makes The Victorian Carollers are a visual delight as well as an aural one.
It would seem that the Carollers are here to stay as part of that very special time of the year and somehow their lovely music helps subdue the commercial aspect of a very hectic season.
Since their inception for the Christmas of 1980, The Victorian Carollers have become an integral part of the festive season in shopping malls and large department stores in Toronto, New York, and Boston.
Their creator, Brian Pearcy of Toronto, fashioned the Carollers to suit the “Village by the Grange” in Toronto. The idea was so well received that the Carollers extended their activities into the greater Toronto area.
Since then, they have expanded into New York and Boston. Using local singers, The Victorian Carollers perform much to the delight of shoppers and merchants alike.
